About

12 Steps to Liberation is a group of people worldwide who use a daily program of the 12 Steps (originally from Alcoholics Anonymous), cognitive change tools, indigenous teachings and vision work, to improve their lives and live free from addiction.

‘Alcoholics Anonymous’ was written in 1939, the result of which was so significant that Henry Kissinger called AA the greatest accomplishment of the 20th century. The last pages read “more will be revealed”.

The program we use began in America around the 1960s when an AA group in Denver began to use vision tools to improve the ‘9 areas’ of their lives such as personal relationships, finances and mental health. This program was further added to in the 1980s with the popularisation of cognitive change tools such as affirmations and the self-talk cycle. Indigenous teachings from Native America were incorporated to explain life cycles experienced in recovery. The resulting program is this powerful method that has been practised worldwide for around four decades, bringing together people from all walks of life.

Everyone is welcome to the meetings and free resources. The video below explains how this recovery program could work in your life:
