We have begun the writing of James’ recovery story in book form, as a means of reaching a wider audience especially those outside traditional recovery circles. We have seen that these tools can be useful to anyone with any form or addiction or anyone who struggles with daily life. James Delany, founder of Steps to Liberation, passed away at 2pm on Monday 26th July.

We are very sorry to report the passing of this very special man, James Delany. James was the founder of Steps to Liberation, which is the culmination of his 26 years of service work in the 12 step recovery field. He has worked with 100s of people and taught 12 step workshops around the world. He never stopped talking about the steps and expanding this method. He knew the steps could take anyone as far as they want to go on their journey. His last words, around 2pm on 26th July, were ‘just keep f***ing going’.

There will be a special Steps to Liberation meeting next Wednesday 4th August 7.30pm-8.30pm to mark James’ passing.
